Stakeholder Information Session on Risk Assessments under the Chemicals Management Plan

Purpose of consultation:
Delegates presented and discussed processes and approaches to risk assessment and basis for conclusions under the Challenge initiative.
Who participated?
Multi-stakeholder- Health and environmental NGOs, industry, Environment Canada, Health Canada.
Selection Criteria
- Knowledge of the Chemical Management Plan (CMP)
- Knowledge of Challenge initiative
- Technical expertise – ecotoxicology, ecological, and health hazard risk assessment
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Understanding of, and ability to communicate issues/questions raised regarding how the Chemical Management Plan (CMP) assessments are conducted, as learned from this workshop.
- Interest and skill in communicating this new knowledge about how the CMP assessments are conducted to a wider audience of CNHHE members.
- Demonstration of good written and oral communication skills.
- Positive, open-minded attitude
